Linux Engineering Lead
We are looking for candidates to fill a number of new roles in our client’s IT Infrastructure Engineering group. The group is responsible for the engineering work behind their enterprise technology, compute, storage and network infrastructure.
About this role
This is for a lead on their Linux Server Engineering efforts, working closely with colleagues doing similar for Windows Engineering, Storage Engineering and LAN/WAN Engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and/or other enterprise-grade distributions
- Some team-lead experience but also a technical specialist
- Broad skills covering most of the following
- Configuration Management
- Automated Standard Builds
- Monitoring
- Infrastructure Network Services (Authentication, DNS, SMTP Email MTA, etc)
- Hardware Evaluation
- More than 6 years professional experience managing Linux /Unix environments
- More than 8 years experience in IT
