Senior Solaris Engineer
based in Budapest, to be a member of a growing team.
Tasks and activities include:
- Act as a primarily expert in Solaris with proven experience of enterprise level hardware and familiarity of defining, testing and packaging operating system builds used in production environment
- Defining, testing and packaging the Operating System
- Design and build Solaris based systems based on client requirements
- Produce a standard comprehensive set of documentation to assist in project deployment, and to include training and implementation support
Skills and Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Solaris systems (versions 8, 9, and 10) in administration, support and OS system level engineering
- Certification of SCSA (preferred), SCNA (desirable)
- Good Solaris troubleshooting, Investigation, Performance Tuning, Configuration skills
- Experience on Jumpstart and Sun Security toolkit (sst)
- Experience on TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS configuration
- Experience on Sun and / or Veritas Volume Manager skills
- Knowledge of Solaris 10 virtual server (zones) & resource management skills (containers)
- Good knowledge of shell scripting (korn shell or equivalent)
- Knowledge of clustering, SAN, Software/Hardware RAID setup and configuration in Solaris environment, EMC storage and configuration software like Power Path
- Excellent English
